I read “how you start you day matters! Must have a morning routine” and could not stop thinking about that. I have struggled with wanting a morning routine for years! But I am NOT a morning person!
The thought “must have a morning routine cause if not my day will be wrong” crushed me!
I like my sleep
I have a pup that won’t let me meditate
I have to take my daughter to school
I work full time
I study part time
I need to cook a healthy breakfast
And today it dawn on me… I HAVE A MORNING ROUTINE!
I wake up
Drink water
Start my coffee maker
Wake my kid up
Get coffee and get in my car
Jam session in the car (my favorite part) signing our favorites songs to the top of our lungs
Drive back where I listen to my happy songs
Make breakfast
Listen to a podcast I adore!
Eat my breakfast while journaling/writing post
It does’t include what a I though a morning routing should include, perfectly calm meditation, essential oil yoga, journaling while drinking a steaming cup of tea… but hey! It is MY life and why should I adjust to what other people morning routines are or what they think I should have!
